How to Copy and Paste
If you are running any form of Microsoft Windows, you have an easy way
to move information between programs on your computer.
It's called Copy and Paste. Suppose you wanted to
take the words
( Romans 6:23 ) and enter them into a Bible search program,
such as the one accessable via the icon on the right.
Here's how to do it:
- First, you must highlight the text you
want to copy: Place your mouse
at one end of the text (either the R or the 3), hold
down the left mouse button,
sweep the cursor toward the other end of the text
until the whole section you want is highlighted,
and release the mouse.
- You can then pick up a copy of
the highlighted text by holding down the Ctrl key
and pressing "C" You won't see the copy you made,
but it's there.
- Next, click on the icon to the right, and on the resulting page
find the box that invites you
to "Lookup a word or passage in the Bible." Left Click on
the empty box
to put your cursor there, then
hold down the Ctrl key and press "V" The text you copied
will be pasted in the box, just as if you had typed it.
If you found this useful, let me know and I'll post some other tips.
